DeviceVerify
Many clinics advertise branded energy-based devices (lasers, radiofrequency, ultrasound). DeviceVerify records what has been independently documented about a device at a specific branch, across three independent dimensions:
- Device authenticity
- Philippine FDA regulatory documentation
- Maintenance / service documentation
Each dimension has its own status. A device can be manufacturer-confirmed for authenticity while its FDA documentation is still “Not assessed”.
Statuses
Manufacturer-confirmed — The manufacturer or its authorised representative confirmed this item in writing to DermFinder PH reviewers.
Documents reviewed — DermFinder PH reviewers examined supporting documents. This is not manufacturer confirmation.
Clinic reported — Information was supplied by the clinic and has not been independently verified.
Verification pending — A verification request is in progress.
Not assessed — DermFinder PH has not assessed this item. Not assessed is not a negative finding.
Review workflow
- Submission received from the clinic (serial numbers, invoices and service records stay private)
- Reviewer examines documents
- Correspondence with the manufacturer or authorised distributor, where possible
- Device identity confirmed
- Device linked to the specific branch
- Reviewer decision on each dimension, documented
- Publication
- Re-verification scheduled (typically 12 months)
What we never do
- We never authenticate devices automatically or from photos alone.
- We do not label devices as “fake” or “counterfeit” on public pages. Concerns go through a confidential process with documented review and legal oversight.
- Payment never affects a device status.
Have a concern about a device? Make a confidential report. Clinic owners can submit devices for review.
DermFinder PH is not the Philippine FDA. Regulatory statuses describe documents we reviewed, not official FDA determinations.
